Who Are We?

FBST is a family-friendly swim team offering developmental and competitive
programming for both children and adults in Fairfax County.

FBST offers a model called THE SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM is simply a
systematic way to approach swimming – promoting swimmers to swim easier,
faster and more efficiently. This will provide more enjoyment for the sport of
swimming and therefore carry into our later years as an enjoyable fitness
activity.

Many swimmers have incurred burnout in the sport. At FBST, we are able to
create fast, fun and efficient training without incurring mega-yardage. We
simply swim smarter! Our goal is to ensure that you swim for the rest of your
life. This way you have a low impact aerobic fitness plan to ensure
cardiovascular health and wellness. Our Head Coach Mark Murray states,
“2000 yards a day keeps the doctor away.”

Our
coaching staff is highly trained and organized. We subscribe to the
theory that you do not have to pay exorbitant pricing to participate in
swimming.

THE SYSTEM was introduced to FBST by FBST Head Coach, Mark Murray.
